1) Springer Nature
A review article by Marlene Prager, Valentin alJalali and Markus Zeitlinger on ‘Clinical pharmacokinetics of antitubercular drugs in overweight and obese people: Implications for dosage adjustment’
In view of the fact that not only tuberculosis but also obesity are on the rise, the team carried out a detailed evaluation of existing data. Studies in this target group are relatively small and it should be considered that the dosage of medicines should be adjusted. Especially when the fat solubility of certain substances is taken into account.
2) Journal of Infection
In a somewhat larger study with 256 participants in the 60+ age group, the effectiveness of combined vaccines was investigated.
