The Medical University of Vienna, Department of Clinical Pharmacology proudly announces the appointment of Professor Hendrik Scholl as an Adjunct Professor. Renowned for his groundbreaking contributions to the field of ophthalmology, Professor Scholl brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this new role.

With an outstanding scientific career marked by pioneering research and clinical expertise, Professor Scholl is a leading figure in the field of ophthalmology. His dedication to advancing our understanding of retinal diseases and developing novel treatments for those has earned him international acclaim. He is especially known for elucidating the genetic and immunologic pathomechanism of age-related macular degeneration and for developing new outcome measures for inherited retinal and macular dystrophies. He has also been in several leadership roles in international multi-center clinical trials. "We are delighted to welcome Professor Hendrik Scholl as Adjunct Professor at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology," said Gerhard Garhöfer, Associate Professor and Section Head of Ophthalmo-pharmacology at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at Medical University of Vienna. "His appointment underscores our commitment to fostering collaboration with distinguished international researchers and clinicians who are at the forefront of their respective fields."
