Drug therapy is the focus of this interdisciplinary outpatient clinic. A team of clinical pharmacologists and clinical pharmacists deals with specific questions concerning individual drugs. For example: Is this side effect possibly from this medicine?
Interactions between different medicines are a major issue, especially in the area of poly- or multipharmacy, i.e. the simultaneous intake of numerous medicines. The risk of interactions increases with the number of medicines taken. This can lead to an intensification of the wanted effect, to side effects, but also to a weakening or even to a complete loss of effect. We would like to offer our expertise in this complex topic to patients and colleagues. Our answers and recommendations are based exclusively on current scientific evidence.

"In modern medicine, the use of several medications is almost inevitable. And this is due to parallel treatment of e.g. chronic and acute diseases. The longer the list, the more likely it is that there will be interactions or side effects. We make it our business to be helpful to patients."
