The training programme corresponds to the work requirements of the University Clinic for Clinical Pharmacology and is divided into the following sections:
- Practical clinical work with medical care of patients and volunteers in the outpatient area 6L and in cooperation with other clinics
- Night shifts with medical care of patients and volunteers in the outpatient area 6L and in co-operation with other clinics
- Laboratory work: This work takes place in the clinic's own laboratory area and in close cooperation with laboratories in other clinics and research departments
- Planning, conducting and analysing clinical studies, including publication of the results
- Rotations
- Further training (see Events) and
- written examination of the theoretical knowledge acquired: Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Scientific Practice (GSP), Declaration of Helsinki (DoH), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Management (QM) and Employee:Health and Safety
Creditability
The clinic has been authorised to provide partial training in internal medicine and clinical pharmacology since 1992 and offers sound basic training as well as basic and specialisation training.
Qualifying for the 2015 Medical Training Regulations:
Basic training: 6 months of internal medicine
Specialist basic training in internal medicine: 9 months
Specialist specialisation in general internal medicine: 18 months
The following can also be credited under the ‘old training regulations’ (Medical Training Regulations 2006 - ÄAO 2006)
